We don’t try and automate your Quotation and Ordering

We purposely have not gone down the road of trying to give you an impersonal, automated Quotation. Instead, everyone in our Sales Office has the experience to discuss, by phone or email, your individual requirements and then give you a clear, easy to understand Quotation showing you how different options effect the costs, and by what degree.

A computer can’t spot expensive errors!

One of the many reasons we discuss your requirements, rather than just ask you to type in sizes, is that we have spotted on numerous occasions, that what a customer might think they need in terms of size, won’t actually work successfully in practice. Common examples of this would be not allowing a sufficient reduction in backrest height to take account of the seat cushion… and making the seat cushion too thin or thick for the base it sits on, meaning you would end up with your feet dangling… or your knees pushed up to your chin!

Happy to talk on the phone

Email is great, but sometimes it’s so much easier and better to have a proper chat regarding your project, so unlike many companies nowadays, we’re always really happy to spend as long as necessary talking things through with you over the phone.

We’re unusual in that NONE of our staff are paid commission! Instead of pushing you into spending more than necessary, for the last 26 years we have always believed in simply explaining the different options we can offer in relation to your Outdoor Cushions, all in a no-pressure, friendly and informative manner.

We’ve spent many years perfecting the ideal fillings to put inside your new Outdoor Cushions. Contrary to what you might think, using the correct filling for your particular requirements is crucial to give you a good degree of comfort, that will also last for many years. We were also at the forefront of offering Rain or Shine foam, enabling you to leave your cushions outside, all year round, in ALL weathers.

All backed up by our offer to help you through colour options etc if you’d like any guidance. At the end of the day, we want you to end up with fantastic cushions that look great, rather than just bog standard, uncomfortable cushions.

Free fabric samples

Our huge range of Outdoor Fabrics is fully backed up by our Samples Department, headed for many years by Sue. She will arrange fabric samples that you’ve asked to be posted to you, or she can use her experience to send you a selection to suit your more general ideas, if you prefer. Either way, we would NEVER expect you to make any sort of decision without us letting you see and feel our actual fabrics, rather than just look at online images.

100+ Fabrics physically in stock

We’ve invested in holding actual physical rolls of over 100 STOCK fabrics, enabling us to offer you faster make-up of our Bespoke Outdoor Cushions, on top of 500+ more fabrics that we order in as required.

All our cushions are overlocked

All the covers that we make have their inner seams machined through a secondary process called overlocking. This means the fabric fibres won’t fray when the covers are washed, which would happen with inferior make-up techniques.

No computer cut fabrics!

We purposely don’t use a computer guided automatic fabric cutting machine. Instead, our Sewing Technicians prefer to do things the old fashioned way, by hand, using a trained eye and a good pair of tailor’s shears! This means they can use their skills to make the necessary adjustments that are required when using fabrics of different textures, types and design.

No production lines here

We don’ pre-make anything, so your order would normally be made from start to finish by the same person; this gives them a real sense of pride and interest in each order they create.

DIY cushions

Rather than us create your cushions, if you’d rather buy our specialist Outdoor Fabrics and fillings, to make your own cushions, then that’s fine. We have a dedicated Outdoor Fabric Co. Online Store for this.

We’re very proud that as well as supplying Outdoor Cushions to private customers all over the UK, we are also ‘specified’ as chosen suppliers by many high-end Landscape Architects, Garden Designers etc. Many of whom have featured our Outdoor Cushions in their gardens exhibited at The Chelsea Flower Show. But our proudest moment, SO FAR, was being awarded the order to supply cushions to Buckingham Palace Gardens!
